They were welcoming to the new people not knowing the long-term effect that was accompanied by their visit (Preston, 645). Some of the major implications were on the ecosystem, health sector, cultural believes and many more. The goods that they brought along with them, ideas together with the ailments shaped up the continent entirely. As the Europeans established their colonies, their society became segregate along a racial and religious line. By 1700, most of the Americans were subjected to slavery as a result of their colour creating wealth for others while they toil hard for peanuts. One of the major motives of exploration was the search for precious metals. When the European came to America they brought along some metals that were far more valuable than the ones they found there.

One of them was steel which they used to defeat the Americans. The native culture was advanced in other fields such as agriculture and engineering but they still used the Stone Age tools which were made from either bone, claystone or wood. They used these because they did not have the relevant knowledge concerning metal work and they had no steel. He saw his journal dwells on his experience during his service to the army(Clough, 1). He witnesses the brutality of the British soldiers, who within six months had subjected many of the American soldiers to torture and some even subjected to death. Conclusion The coming of the British to the Native America land came with a great price on the indigenous people.
