Communism and capitalism emerged as one of the main issues revolving around the Cold War. Despite the tension that happened and supposedly ended decades ago, there are still nations across the world that still align with their “super powers” in terms of capitalism and communism. Origin of the Cold War After World War II ended in 1945, the United States and Great Britain formed alliances that aimed to strengthen their bond (Britannica). After World War I ended, nations such as the United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union began identifying themselves in terms of ideologies they supported. Western allies that included U. The Soviets also aimed at spreading their ideology of communism to different parts of the world between 1947 and 1948. Even though this was explained by the Soviets as just extending its defensive boundaries from the powerful western allies, it was seen as a way of solidifying its might to complete with the United States.

The Cold War was mainly centered on tensions between western allies and east European countries led by the Soviet Union. It was mainly due to ideology inclinations that were different to these two blocks. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that was created by western allies to combat the influence of the soviets, furthermore solidified the strength of the US as a super power (Harry S.
