Moreno et al. (2011) in their study revealed that 25% of the college students disclose depression symptoms in comments they leave on Facebook. This results because they tend to share their personal information more in the social media as opposed to a person. The recent threat in social media use is the cyberbullying that may involve spreading rumors, displaying pictures with no consent and threatening users. Where possible, the questionnaires will be used to collect data from the students from a learning institution particularly those addicted or interested in social media use. Data analysis The mixed method will be used to analyze the data collected from secondary sources. These basically include qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data to derive meaningful information out of the raw data from different sources. Similar information can be displayed differently by the sources. During interpretation of the interviews, challenges might be accrued based on the authenticity of the information on the existing interviews; biases might arise depending on the source and type of the information. Based on the limitation posted above, a conclusive remark can be made that, the secondary analysis might not be reflective of the primary data since it is not real-time; some were collected decades ago and won’t reflect the real situation currently.
