Essay on Racism

One of the main principles used in racism is the perception that human beings can be classified under various groups which are distinct. This forms the idea that particular group of people can be classified as superior or inferior. Back in the colonial periods, Colonialists used racism to socially organize their empires. In the United States of America, racism was practiced by colonial masters by giving the whites privileges and denying other people those privileges and rights. These privileges include quality education, legal protection, rights to vote and many other favors. One of the things associated with racism is violence. Racism creates hostility between different groups of people and this threatens the peace and safety of the country. Racism also has economics impacts into a country due to discrimination and unfair practices in wealth creation opportunities.
