Family plays significant roles in the socialization of members of the community. It also shapes the nation regarding culture religion political views and economic responsibilities. The family therefore holds a critical position in the well-being of any community. It has a lot of influence on the social outcome of the society. Socialization of young children is considered a significant factor in molding a society (Mahalihali 2016). How a child is socialized depends on the nature stability and background of the family. Discussion Traditionally a family was considered a unit of people related by blood or consanguinity. Emerging trends in the modern world have however brought variance in the understanding of the concept "family." While in the past a family was comprised of society faces stem from the continued weakening of the family unit. There has been a lot of changes in the family among them being same-sex marriages both parents joining the workforce increased divorce rate and increased use of drugs by parents. This can be credited to the numerous changes in the economic political and legal framework in America. Financial instability has been the primary cause of changes in the family unit and the society.
