Order Description:
Whenever an incident occurs, it is important to do a lessons learned assessment to see where things could have been handled better, to see where mistakes occurred, and to see where there may have been gaps in communication or getting tasks complete. With this information, you can create a document, or a proactive blueprint, that outlines how to deal with similar situations in the future. In this course, you will assess two incidences and look at lessons learned from many points of view. You will then use the same skills and select an incident in which you can assess and create your own proactive blueprint. In doing so, you will be doing the following: Identifying stakeholders and defining their roles and responsibilities. Constructing a coalition of stakeholders who should be involved in finding solutions in an incident. Identifying the best strategies for communication from one stakeholder to another. The proactive blueprint will look at all of these aspects from the point of view of what can be done before the incident happens, during the incident, and after it occurs. Project Objectives To successfully complete this project, you will be expected to: Create a coalition of agencies representing disciplines relevant to an incident and a system of oversight. Identify policy-making leaders and a logical coalition leader and create an organizational chart. Compile, evaluate, and integrate data relevant to the situation prior, during, and after an incident. Synthesize the data to identify errors, omissions, and agency effectiveness. Develop a proactive blueprint of agency collaboration. Communicate the proactive blueprint effectively to all stakeholders and propose changes in policy, protocol, and legislation.
