In the stories the protagonists are a male who are young who are struggling with different reservations that life throws up to them. The characters also try to establish a way to evaluate what it means to be an Indian living in the country during the period of the setting of the stories. Each story has a different background and thus providing a better understanding of the various themes and motifs that the author wants to communicate to the reader. Post-colonialism literature aims at the provision of an explanation with regards to the Europeans and the country’s that were their colonies (Gale 2016).
