The set resulted in uncertainty and unease in both the cast and the audience by articulating a relationship to M. C. Esther and establishing a dark and heavy palette. Other successes in the production included the flexibility and the acting space that was afforded to blocking. The play integrated good principles of production and was framed artistically regarding actors, colours, shapes, and props. Furthermore, the supernatural elements were introduced at the start of the production by bringing in three wicked witches. The play gains a supernatural atmosphere when the witches enter the scene. The witches talk about the “battle being lost and one” in the opening scene and about meeting Macbeth and the spirits. The use of the weather illustrates the mood of the scene.
