Food Southeast Aleutian Islands and Kodiak
Fish is one of the most common foods in the region. The Aleutian people are fishermen, a tradition that they have kept for many centuries now. Salmon fish is the most eaten food. It is the lifeblood food of these people. It is used to prepare the salmon pie, the tradition salmon perk and also some form of salmon wine which is one of its kind in the world (Unger 68). Other factors such as the applicability of this food also affect its consumption. Nowadays, traditional food is seldom available, and hence there is a dramatic decrease in its use.
