Introduction La Llorona Loca: The Other Side The article selected for this paper is La Llorona Loca: The Other Side. The reason for selecting this article is because it is based on a sensitive issue that is still affecting Latinos living in Diaspora. The article talks about the values of a Mexican woman. It explains what is expected from a Mexican woman in the society showing how the culture restricts people. Caliente was beautiful and everymen wanted to be with her and every woman wanted to be like her. Despite her beauty Caliente was still not married at the age of thirty-three years (Trujillo 1). People in her community were gossiping around that she was not married because she was a lesbian. When the community realized the relationship between Caliente and La Stranger the macho Mexican men chased them away and they went to Tijuana where they got married community should be patient when other people do not accept them in the first instance. With time people get used to it and they ignore them and live their lives. Manuel was able to live a happy life after he scared away the thieves. Hence the gay people should find a way of turning things around when people are disapproving their relationships. They don’t have to accept it but minding their own business in enough. Manuel also teaches the audience to be patient in life unlike Caliente who kills her lover then immediately regrets it. Despite the orientation of an individual one should be patient in life since acting in anger only leads to regret. Work cited Trujillo C. M. (Ed.).
