Case study of psychology in relation to education

The problem that this quantitative research seeks to address is whether education in every of its aspects has helped the society understand matters of human psychology. Objective of the study. This quantitative research seeks to bring light on the role of education in understanding human psychology. This research paper intends to collect information and data by conducting interviews and giving questionnaires to the target groups. The target groups for this case are individuals in two different classes of the social divide. Educational psychology therefore shall be defined as a science that concerns human learning. This science revolves around two perspectives of human learning. The cognitive perspective and the behavioural perspective. It is though educational psychology that people understand the differences in individuals on matters intelligence, self-motivation and regulation as well as cognitive development.

The theory presented by Glass In their book; “Statistical Methods in Education and Psychology” confirms the role that education has taken in relation to understanding human psychology. On the other hand, one with no idea or information concerning a subject they are discussing may be categorized as one with a low Intellectual Quotient (Mehrens & Irvin, 1973). The theory of information processing therefore, acts as an aide in gauging the mental and psychological abilities of people. Information that had been stored prior to an event can be processed faster and with a lot of ease compared to one with limited or no information at all. Education therefore comes in handy at this point. From the definition of education, it is a process of acquiring knowledge and skills.

Education helps individuals through the way of life and can elevate one from one stage of life to another. Good education is helpful in improving ones intellectual quotient (Wadsworth, 1971).   Little or no education can be costly in terms of socialization. People with low education have issues interacting with friends and family since their level of intelligence is quite low. Chickerings theory, of intelligence testing has been instrumental in encouraging individuals to acquire education and stay in the pursuit of education for long enough to elevate their status.   Interview questions.
