C stand for in a functional assessment? The functional assessment uses the conceptualization of the ideology of ABC. These letters are not just the alphabetical letters but rather have meaning embodied in them. The first letter, A, stands for Antecedent meaning precedence. Basically, these are the stimuli events or activities that come immediately before a certain behavior. In the same context, B means the Behavior itself and lastly, letter C stands for Consequences. Finally, they ought to support the child’s efforts and teach them the importance of acceptable behavior. What is the first thing that ECEs should do when they see behavior that is harmful or unfair? When the Early Childhood Education notices that a certain behavior is harmful to a child, the first thing to do is to warn the child and show him or her that the behavior is bad.
In addition, to this, they should understand and do a research on the behavior so that they can come up with a precise decision on how to stop it. Why do children misbehave? List 3 possible causes and explain why it would contribute to inappropriate misbehavior. Inability to control their emotions sometimes children get angry, disappointed and frustrated just like any other normal human being. I would use it immediately after I assess the child’s behavior. This is because I would have had a lot of information about the bad behavior, which would help me to base my conclusions on. I would study the behavior of the child before the start of the bad behavior. Then research on how the child manifested it and finally check the consequences the child was facing.
You find that there’s a lot of inappropriate behavior in your program, and what to do something to improve the situation. analysis, what information would you gather and how will it help you to deal more effectively with his behavior? I would gather information why he was only the one being accused of hitting others since it would show if he’s always looking for trouble. Also, I would figure out what causes of his bad behavior because it would aid in ending it. Moreover, I would collect information whether he was feeling guilty after every incidence like this occurred. What skills does Jamal need to develop with the help of the teacher? Jamal should develop skills in controlling his emotions and interacting with other children peacefully and friendly.
