Career Day Proposal

Below I have made the outline of the information that I will include during the career fair and the various resources that I will supply that will generate the interest of the students to work hard in their studies and become accountants in future. Career Description The work for an accountant is basically analyzing financial information’s and preparations of financial reports both monthly and annually to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, loss and profits made by the organizations or companies. It also entails preparation of other financial activities within the companies or organization. As an accountant one should ensure the flow of finances in the place of work is well tracked throughout the year. An accountant is known as the financial backbone of the business.

Education Required As an accountant it’s good to be highly competitive for you to earn a senior position in any institution or governmental sectors. The minimum qualification for senior accountants should be a bachelor’s degree in accounting though one can be an industrial accountant or medical accountants though certified business-related courses. With aggressiveness, one can begin from diploma to degree level and become a successful accountant. In our organization, any individual ready to join should have a minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting. Other institutions will need education requirement beyond degree level. Self-motivation is another skill that accountant should possess. The accountant should have the ability to reflect on one’s own work. Other skills that an accountant should possess are proficiency in Information technology.

Teamworking ability, a methodical approach and problem-solving skills are also necessary. The accountant should possess skills in computer operations since most of the work is done and kept in computers in databases. I graduated with first-class honors and proceeded to do master’s in accounting. Am still furthering my studies whereby right now am doing PhD in accounting and finance. I work with Profresh organization whereby am the senior accountant in the department of accounts. I also hold a Certified Public Accountant certificate.
