Masculinity in U.S Film (Example)

Document Preview:

Masculinity and the War Film Masculinity refers to the possession of character traits which are practically associated with men. Masculinity is also referred to as manhood boyhood or manliness. Example of character traits which are traditionally cited as masculine include characters such as courage the fact or state of being independent and confident and forceful behavior. Through masculinity it has become almost self-evident that the state of either being a man or woman has become impossible to disentangle in the process of development. The human growth report suggested that if human growth is not gendered it is therefore endangered which a report was sent in late 1995 (Connell pg.2). The involvement of establishing new ideas or methods of feminist scholars over the last various three ten year period they have been able to come to their attention that growth process is an uneven process not only in the country struggle hard in order to prove their manhood status. Adults should not be discriminated if they are not able to perform specific tasks. These are because not all individuals can be able to play a particular function equally. In conclusion the ability to perform a specific task should not be based on the status of a person because no one is superior to the other. People should also understand that when there is equality between different genders it will constitute a healthy environment (Levy 187). Work Cited: Connell R W. Masculinities. Order Description:

Subject of my paper: Identify topic of your choice which must connect to US film imagery and representation. With a 5-7 page research paper it is better to be specific rather than broad i.e.) construction of Hollywood’s Indian as depicted in western genre during 1930s v. Indians in film. Approach to the subject of my paper: Try to envision a logical way in which to present your material. Will you have to define any terms? If so, which ones? Will you have to clarify terms and concepts? Will you show opposing viewpoints? Will you be comparing and contrasting? Will you be categorizing some information? Perhaps you will be using a number of these approaches in your paper. What people or group of people might benefit from reading your paper? Documentation Style: Chicago style is preferred, but if you want to use another style, such as MLA, APA, parenthetical, etc., you may, but be consistent.
