Different societies have varying cultural practices which are normally exhibited in distinct ways. The American Thanksgiving Holiday is one of the major celebrations honored yearly in the United States. Americans mark this day with color and pomp as they appreciate progressive growth in their lives. More often than not people celebrate holidays with unique feasts. The American Thanksgiving Holiday is no exception and people hold exemplary banquets. Driven by emotional fêtes Americans’ spirited festivity in the Thanksgiving Day is characterized by high spirits. The day brings annual reunion as a tradition to embrace various social aspects in the society. Nonetheless since President Ronald Reagan in 1987 various presidents including George HW Bush and current President Donald Trump pardon turkeys presented to them for dinner (Gamlen 2017). Indeed this day has evolved immensely since its first proclamation. However although it various entertainment and sharing events have been added it has upheld its traditions and norms.
