Currently, the organization is expanding its reach to be an integrated provider of general health care services. CVS Health mainly deals with the retail of prescription drugs as well as provision of general health care to the community following its recent adventure in healthcare provision. CVS Health target clients are the general community with much emphasis on individuals with chronic and specialty conditions (Wilner et al, 2016). As a result of its exemplary services is pharmacy sector of healthcare, it has been accredited by URAC in five different areas of pharmacy which include specialty pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, mail service pharmacy, drug therapy management and health call center for pharmacy counseling and advisor program (Wilner et al, 2016). The URAC accreditation body ensures that the quality and standards of the healthcare industry are upheld.

The absence of conflicts in the organization because of its organizational structure enables the organization to maintain its competitive edge as well as expanding its service reach. Strengths and weaknesses CVS Health accessibility, brand recognition as well as variety of services and its prescription benefits management have served as strengthening factors which have propelled the organization to higher heights (Wilner et al, 2016). For instance, in terms of accessibility, CVS Health is available in 49 states having a total of 9600 and 1100 retail pharmacy and minute clinics respectively across the entire 49 states (Wilner et al, 2016). Although CVS Health is more of a pharmacy organization, it has gone a step further to open Minute Clinics hence diversifying its services since the Minute Clinics offers urgent care and management of specialty and chronic conditions.
