Name: Professor: Course: Date: EDITING STRATEGY ANALYSIS Bigger than life. Narrator: Though greatly unappreciated during its time of release and era Bigger than life by Nicholas Ray is now highly recognized as a significant landmark in American film during the 1950s. The film encompasses a thriving and friendly teacher and father from the suburbs is given a dose of cortisone for a fatal and excruciating painful affliction (Andrew 2004). He becomes addicted to the drug which is experimental. The addiction turns him into a psychotic and unreasonably violent man. Through the talented acting and production by James Mason( who co-wrote produced and starred in the film) coupled by directing by Nicholas Ray the film takes the audience through a thrilling experience that ensues in the two-hour movie. Narrator: The film commences with a stream of still snapshots centered around the school's principal doors as the students exit school as of his episodes or how he would react at certain situations. Narrator: in conclusion for its perfect ability to bring out the realness of effects of change in behavior on the relation with family workmates and the whole environment around an individual coupled with its spectacular editing (Perkins &Martin 2004). It can safely be assumed that Bigger than life has greatly inspired the following and the still to come movie directors and editors. .WORK CITED Andrew Geoff. The films of Nicholas Ray: the poet of nightfall.
