Document 1

Social psychology has benefited me in understanding how persuasion, conformity, and obedience can influence thoughts and actions of an individual. I have been able to positively control my relationship with other people, limit stereotype effects on decision-making, among other actions that are prone to other people's influences. Social psychology has been fundamental in shaping how individuals form group relationships, social learning, stereotyping and attitudes, and power in the society. The knowledge of these issues has helped the community on how to react to challenges facing it more subtly. Society benefits when individuals have a better understanding of how to center their judgment and facts without the fear of negative influence (Potter, 2012). People need to know that schooling is not only about learning but a platform to grow and improve social interaction and communication with people.
