They include vomiting, diarrhea, ache in the stomach and in the head and fever among others which are specific depending on the type of illness though the incubation period may vary from hours to weeks depending on the disease. The bacteria that cause food poisoning include Clostridium perfrigens, Salmonella typhimurium, Escherichia coli and Campylobacter jejuni. Viruses include Rotavirus, Norovirus, Enterovirus and Hepatitis A and B. Parasites include Platyhelminthes (Taenia saginata, Taenia solium, Fasciola hepatica), Protozoa (Entamoeba histolytica, Cyclospora cayestanensis, Toxoplasma gondii). Another cause of the stomach illness includes natural toxins (Scobrotoxin, a toxin from mushroom, alkaloids, and tetrodotoxin) (Tavoschi etal. There is also vomiting and headache. The incubation period is between six to seventy-two hours. This disease is treated using antibiotics.
