Olafur Eliassons art work Essay

I feel that his artwork has incorporated various feelings into people’s consciousness. I feel that Eliason’s intent as an artist is to make the space touchable. His creation consists of playful artwork that describes dimension and time. A good example is his artwork on the New York City waterfalls. In this work he elaborates the point in time it takes for water to drop by putting big simulated waterfalls in a big city like New York. I feel that his transformation of the gallery into a natural space has developed a deep association with space and the audience that makes them think about their life and sanity. I feel that his artwork simply challenges an individual’s mind and makes him or her think about what to feel when viewing the art in the beginning and what one may already be acquainted with.
