What is the ECOTEL Strategy?
The ECOTEL strategy evaluates a hotel's systems, techniques and methods for environment friendliness by having a stringent examination of its range, opportunity and results across five essential guidelines, known as 'The Five Globes'. They are: Environment Commitment, Solid Waste products Management, Energy Management, Water Management, and Employee Education and Community Participation. To be qualified as an ECOTEL, a hotel must rating the bare minimum qualifying percentage on each of the globes.
