Colored pens demo (Example)

Name Course Tutor Date Psychology Colored Pens Demo The observer is able to see the pens first as a simple image at some distance from the ears moving forward. As the pens were moved forward the observer managed to realize the color of the pens not from the first spot of seeing them as images but a little further in front. When one pen is used on one side the observer is able to see it as it approaches first as an image and then as with a specific color. As the pens are moved forward gradually the observer is able to see them clearly with clear vision. Initially as the pens were moved slowly from behind the hears the observer first saw nothing and then saw blurred images emerging and then gradually notices their color and finally realizes that they are pens as they are moved forward. Moving hormonal levels are seen to be higher than those for males are. In this regard the differences in terms of reaction to the hormones make the greater difference between boys and girls. For males it is easy for them to consider the need to focus on something different that gives a greater avenue of happiness or relaxation. Evolutionists see males as having high levels of testosterone but their reaction is quite hidden. For females the levels of testosterone might be seen to be low but the nature of the reaction from them indicates a stronger sense of hormonal imbalance in terms of management of the same. Males are stronger when it comes to managing their testosterone levels and their reactions. In most cases females are weak when it comes to their management of testosterone levels. Therefore men are seen to be better in terms of hormones capacity and management. [...]

Order Description:

You need a partner to do this. Take several pens that are brightly colored. Have your partner sit facing straight ahead with their eyes focused on a specific spot. Throughout the exercise they should not move their head or eyes. Now bring one of the pens SLOWLY out from a point behind them and several inches to the side. As you bring it slowly forward, ask them to tell you when they can see it. (You may want to ask them every few seconds if they can see it yet.) Remind them not to shake or nod their head or move their eyes as they answer you. As soon as they say they can see it, stop moving it forward and ask them if they can tell you what color it is. Then slowly move it forward a bit more, and a bit more, until they can give you its color correctly. Then try it again with a different pen. What happened and why do you suppose it did? (If nothing special happened, try it with someone else, and if that still doesn’t work, just think about what might have happened and why.) and answer the following questions: 1. How would an evolutionary psychologist explain differing levels of physical aggression in males and females 2. How about male attraction to healthy youthful women? 3. How about female attraction to mature, affluent men? 4. How about gender differences in play behavior, where boys tend to play in groups focused on an activity, while girls tend to play one-on-one and talk more openly? 5. How can differences between males and females in testosterone level support this perspective?
