When Lee was tomboy child, his father was a lawyer who defended tow African Americans who had been accused of murdering a white storekeeper, that time in the south racist attitude was so prevalent and without enough evidence the two men were found guilty and hanged. Erroneous minded race prejudice is one of the contributing factors that led to the killing of these men. CONCLUSION From the discussion above, it is evident that the title of the novel is appropriate since a Mockingbird is usually innocent like the characters described above but instead they are wronged and subjected to judgment without the consideration of their merits. Moreover, the issue of wrong-minded about race also contributes to some of these innocent characters suffering like Tom Robinson.
