The women’s representation is necessary for the contemporary political transformation agenda designed by most nations across the world. Women can trigger transparency and accountability when given the chance to serve in public politics. The participation of women in public policy can facilitate the achievement of the world sustainable development goals. This essay examines the reasons behind the low women representations in political decision making positions despite the United Nation’s thirty percent parliamentary seats call and ways to overcome the obstacle. The contemporary world figures indicate that the women representation in both political and policy arenas still lower in most of the countries.
