This will offer wide familiarity with the literature as well as the current state of knowledge in the discipline. Another beneficial idea is the significance of effective management and organizational skills. I plan to achieve this by being goal-directed and this involves indicating the goals I want to accomplish, creating a system to help organize my time in a way that I can meet my goals, getting a realistic projection of the amount of financial resources I will need to accomplish my goal, seeking a supportive environment that will facilitate attaining my goals, and developing a scholarly attitude of constant learning in the course of accomplishing my goal. Writing and rewriting will also be very beneficial in the research writing process.
This will involve note-taking and writing drafts as a way of documenting a current understanding and also as a way of determining where to focus on (Brause, 1999). Organizational policy barrier types including prevailing opinions, knowledge and attitudes, and practice environments results in challenges of inadequate resources and time to implement EBP. There are also ethical challenges to researchers who are intimidated by the EBP’s gold standard and aim to accomplish without paying attention to other considerations. Failure to provide evidence in forms useful to professionals, poor quality research, and biased publications and research are other ethical challenges in research (Rubin & Parrish, 2007). There are several possible solutions to these challenges. The first is establishing the capacity to commit the necessary resources to fully put into place EPP, including offering pertinent and continuous training for administrators, trainers, and professionals.
