Efforts have therefore been made to establish ways of ruling themselves effectively and in the process ensure that, the ruling process is ethical and also in line with the moral requirements in order to avoid any form of resistance or violence by all means (Machiavelli, 48). However, it has not being a very simple task to accomplish and hence, very few leaders have been in position to accomplish this desire of humanity. Niccolo Machiavelli directs us in his book, The Prince, on several ways of developing good leadership that would basically have no hatred. He therefore states that, “an effective would be the one who relies upon fear without hatred, rather than love. ” This essay would therefore give Niccolo`s stance on leadership on basis of fear without hatred based on his book, The Prince.

We all dream of a peaceful society and therefore, in order to have a peaceful society, we need well set structures and in order to have well set structures, we would definitely need good leaders (Machiavelli, 67). This therefore implies that, one would need an effective leader whom you trust to design the necessary conditions of living that would guarantee every member the necessary peace of stay in the society. This would mean a need for a well trusted leader to handle all this. Trust is a key aspect in leadership and it needs to be well grounded among our leaders. Conclusion Machiavelli is basically trying to pass a message on the several aspects that a good and trusted leader should have and of these aspects, trust is a very important aspect for a leader to have.
