Name: Course Title: Professor: Date: Genre Analysis: Stagecoach (1939) Genre can be simply described as a group of artistic composition either in literature or music. The group is characterized by various similarities in style form or even subject matter. Each and every piece of literature comes along with its predefined genre which is used as a core approach. The film Stagecoach is an interesting film. It is a western classic which features the experiences of nine people inside a stagecoach. The film was directed by John Ford and produced by Walter Wanger. The films genre can be described as either Adventure or drama judging from the various scenarios the to enumerate the major theme features in the film. The couple in the film are represented by Dallas and Ringo. The gender relations in the film are portrayed as not so important to the plot as the couple is tangential. This is seen by their minimum participation in the plot. They have a part in the plot but this is outshined by most of the activities in the film. Yes both Dallas and Ringo fall in love however their role is not as crucial. This shows that gender relations in the given genre are not part of the definition. Work Cited Ford John. Stagecoach.
