Health Promotion Teaching Plan

E. g. , Drug use; 79% of the people between the 13 and 29 who inject drugs were diagnosed with HIV infection (Burnett, 2018). Reckless sexual behaviors which are prevalent in this age group is another contributing factor (Rushing, 2018). The target population for the teaching plan will be people in the community between the ages of 13 – 29. Posters will be posted in the schools and churches noticeboards in the community. Handouts, pamphlets and brochures will be handed out to the targeted population. A seminar will also be conducted with parents of children in this age bracket to educate them on the objectives so that they can help in educating and guiding the young even after the institutions and youth meeting seminars are over. To determine if the teaching plan was successful, we will have to look for ways to know how much of the information passed is received and retained.
