Name Course Professor Date Effects of social media on the adolescents Introduction Depending on the definitions of the social media as explained by different scholars different individuals would have a difference in opinion. In our case social media is described as the collection of online channels of communication that are dedicated to social based input and output sharing and collaboration of information. There are different social media websites that are known to different people and are of different purposes to different individuals. The most common social media include Facebook Twitter Instagram and currently dominating in the industry is WhatsApp. These websites are used to share memories with friends and families connect with friends and families and most importantly pass information to the respective individuals through the rightful channels (Rauch pg. 187-190). Thesis statement Social media has been highly affecting the young generation in many and different ways and so acclimated to utilizing online networking for stimulation. Amid an investigation finished with young people they were separated from online networking for a concise timeframe. Over this period they depicted sentiments that are like medication or liquor withdrawals for example "desires nervousness and butterflies" (David pg. 52-57). Works cited Baym Nancy K. Order Description:

The Literature Review Paper For this assignment, you will complete a review of the important research surrounding your research topic, which must be derived from one of the essays we have read in the course. This assignment asks you to write a summary of your research, noting common trends and ideas. You should not be making an argument as you review the research and should thus provide a range of perspectives. You will not include your opinion or ideas; your only job is to survey the scholarly research that has been done on your topic. This assignment will help you later, as you form a thesis for your larger academic essay. Also, this paper will serve as the first section of your long essay/research project for the course. The essay will be graded on how well you: Create a thesis—Is your thesis appropriate for a literature review/summary paper? Does it introduce your paper adequately? (NOTE: This thesis could become one of the claims for your larger essay. It is NOT your thesis for the overall essay and should NOT be argumentative in tone. It may read something like, “Research on ____ reveals….”) Organize your essay—Does each paragraph support your thesis? Is the essay logically structured? Do the sentences in your paragraph follow a topic sentence? Select sources—Are your sources scholarly? Do your sources contain primary research and/or studies? Are your sources closely related to your topic? If not, how well do you connect them to your topic? Are your sources acceptable for a literature review? Are they current, preferably within the last 5 years? Do you have at least six total sources? Cite sources—Are your sources correctly cited in MLA format? Do you adequately explain any direct quotes? How well do you paraphrase the content of these sources? Do you appropriately introduce quotes? Do you give credit when appropriate? Summarize and/or synthesize your materials—Do you adequately provide information to help readers understand the sources you cite? Do you synthesize your sources to provide an overall picture of the research in your particular sub-field? Meet the basic criteria for the assignment—Is your paper 3-4 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font with regular margins in MLA format? Did you turn your essay in on time via the appropriate channels? Did you proofread, edit, and revise the essay before submitting? I encourage you to use this resource to help with your papers: www.unc.edu The resources should come from the Eastern Washington University online library I can help you with logging into it if you need help. research.ewu.edu Also my topic is: How does social media affect face to face communication in adolescents?
