It is noteworthy that it is not given throughout the year like a salary. Rather, it is provided at a time when the firm is going through an important business phase. The phase is considered as highly profitable, such that the organization finds no reason to deny the most productive employees an additional paycheck. In a hospitality organization for instance, there exists seasons in which firms may experience an upsurge of clients(tourists) visiting a certain destination. Therefore, employees within strategic sectors such as human resource may be given such a bonus so as to motivate them to employ more part-time workers to take advantage of the season. In this regard, staffs become motivated to excel in their areas since they want to benefit from a certain paycheck at the end of the year.
