Key learning areas My learning and development teachings in class made me aware that there is a useful tool called ADDIE which is an acronym for analyse, Design, develop, implement and Evaluation which is a useful tool that can assist me in real life. The ADDIE model demands that an analysis be made regarding the target as in my case I had to make an analysis on an organization called Pertamina. I learnt that the design section involves consideration of other models to develop learning objectives. Some learning models include Dunn & Dunn model, Kolb’s model and Honey and Mumford model (Van, 2008, 416). The Develop part involves coming up with how the training or teaching will take place. To prepare succession in the management, the seniors were ready to involve the juniors in a training process to pass on their experience to their juniors.

This nature of the senior managers proved the Honey and Mumford 4 styles model of the pragmatists. These are people who like dealing with the reality as it is and experimenting solutions that they deem to be viable (Shaw et al. Lesson learned-strength From my Learning and Development experience, I realized that I have strong observational as well as listening skills as I paid much attention to the views of other class members during discussions. I was also keen on the matters that can influence a person’s learning ability. I have learned that it is important to have good communication skills and that everybody has the potential of bringing something into the table when faced with a similar crisis or challenging situation.
