Obesity and overweight are used synonymously though they differ. While obesity is the condition of having excess fat in the body overweight is referred to as having excess body weight for a certain height from bones water or fat (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Currently in US one out of three children is overweight. From year 2011 – 2014 it was reported that children between the age of 2 – 19 the prevalence is fairly stable.
