Depression Research Framework
Document Type:Coursework
Subject Area:Health Care
Conducting a successful study on a sensitive issue such as this requires a strategic design1. This is more so the case when the study is focused on making a comparison between two groups. If I were to perform a study aimed at comparing depression between believers and non-believers, I would be very keen on a number of aspects. First, I would justify the research to a secular audience by use of a strong reasonable rationale. For example, I would explain that the research results will be used to improve public health services for everyone, irrespective of their religious beliefs. These will be in the form of information obtained from published articles in the study topic. This research study would only be successful if non-believers can be clearly distinguished from the believers.
