They have rejected the picturing of living things in their art and have developed new and interesting styles diverging from the Romans and Byzantine work of art. Byzantine work of art was established from incorporating various themes of Christianity in to Greek's way of life and nature. The Islamic artists diverged from the Byzantine art and came up with new styles of art. The Byzantine and Roman claim that the Muslim learnt and copied some piece of work art from them and produced it in an Islamic way of art. Islamic art developed due to their familiarity with the local environment and inspiration from Arabic, African countries and Byzantine (Saoud, 2010). The art is unique as it is decorative and there is use of calligraphy in their work.
