Value statements are real, and the employees are expected to follow the regulations or frameworks supplied n the reports at all times. Organizational culture, on the other hand, demonstrates the various ways through which the individuals can approach matters affecting the organization and therefore can provide the appropriate ways to deal with the issues in question (Robbins, 2009). Values and organizational culture should operate hand in hand since they are crucial in their maintenance of the ethical nature of the firm. Various approaches assist in determining the process of ethical decision making. The first one is the rights approach as discussed by Immanuel Kant. It is an indication of the development of humanity which allows people to strive to do well. In this case, the decision-making process follows the regulations provided by the moral values maintained.

The next approach is the fairness/justice approach as presented by Aristotle which advocates the treatment of equals and unequal’s in the same proportion as they treat one another. The aspect of making any ethical decision should be guided by the determination of justice applied in undertaking the actions in question. Through this, the elimination of discrimination and favoritism takes place. The establishment of the issues under consideration is crucial to the understanding of the best ways to resolve them accordingly. It also assists in the decision of any other alternative approaches that are applicable in the situation. The utilitarian approach also requires the determination of the alternatives provided through the use of the moral compass. In this case, the moral principles are put in place with the aim of ensuring that one can respond accordingly and provide that all facts are available are a representation of the issue at hand.

Since the moral obligation of the approach is ensuring that most people receive the best as a result of the decision made, it helps one to identify the solutions that are more just (Shapiro & Stefkovich, 2016). Solving the Ethical Dilemma The best way to evaluate how to deal with the matter is through the use of the utilitarian approach. The organization is a manufacturing plant and therefore the ethical decision should have a positive effect on a large number of people and the consequences are positive outcomes. The employees should ensure that they familiarize themselves with the code of ethics since it provides a foundation with regards to how the company evaluates such matters. Under the utilitarian approach, it is essential to evaluate all the available alternatives to aid in making the best decision.
