According to research conducted by consultancy global tolerance, an estimated 42% of millenials preferred to work for a firm that focused its operations around societal values,than high salaries. This means that in order for firms to be able to tap into the largest pool of employees who are young, talented and innovative, it is imperative that firms impart ethical values in their business models. The young generation is passionate about creating social change and for millenials who have a wide access to information due to technology, they are focused on becoming a part of a firm that gives them a platform to impact in other people's live and change the environment theyblive in. This can he through increasing the green footprint to cater for the environment, increasing minimum wage so as to improve people's livelihoods, giving back to communities through education programs etc.

While these opportunities have created a world of good for a majority of the population, millenials have been faced with the highest level if unemployment, despite the qualifications. Majority of individuals bin this generation are riddled with education debts by the time they graduate and whether they like it or not, a prospective job has to be able to meet their financial needs. Furthermore, dealing with the competitive environment, requires them to get compensation that reflects their level of expertise. This allows them to climb the career ladder and advance their professions. In order for a meaningful match to be made between employers and employees, both parties should find a middle ground that caters to both their requirements, and work in perfect harmony.
