Observation method is mostly related to ethnographic technique, but it is applicable t the other methods of research. The technique was chosen in this particular research because it helps the researcher to capture and understand the context of peoples’ interaction. It helps the researcher to see that escape participant’s awareness in case another method is adopted. Observation method further helps researchers learn some things that participants may not be willing to discuss if subjected in an interview(Bryant, 2015). The research involves choosing a public setting where people with different backgrounds meet and interact so that it can be easier to observe their different behaviours. ordering different meals and issuing of receipts to clients) Customers: Casual language( Speaking about their workplaces, promotions, different annual targets).

Male people spoke much about their plans, unlike females who focused more on their families, especially children. Conversational patterns followed by people within the café (Amount, conversational interruptions and volume of talking) Staff: No interruptions that were noted and no too much talking Customers: A lot of interruptions noted while conversing and it could take too much talking to express a point. Female people seemed to interrupt more than males Typical behaviours observed among the people within the café and different body language applied Staff: They were always on toes moving from one point of the café to the other serving customers. Customers: Were seated while taking meals ordered. It was noted that the highest number of people who take meals from a café are males, maybe because female people carry with themselves packed lunch from their homes.

On the other hand, most of the staff members, especially waiters were female people who seemed to enjoy the services more than their male counterparts. Anyone could tell the café is situated in a high catchment area because of the dress code by most of its customers (almost everyone was officially dressed, including the staff members). Female people seemed to be more vocal, talking about their children and families while male people were talking in low tones about their plans in life.
