The constitution has undergone twenty-seven amendments to accommodate changes and new developments. There are twenty-five functioning amendments since the 18th amendment did not pass and the 20th was an appeal of the 18th amendment (Bernstein, 12). The first ten amendments consist of the bill of right, the Congress advocated for the amendments during the first meeting of 1789. United States of America constitution consists of seven articles, the first three article arms of government composition and functions (Corwin, 56). Article I of the constitution the legislative arm provides guidelines on the house of congress and the senate role of making laws. Article IV, establishes states relationship principles, according to the article all states should respect each other. It allows state members to reside in other states, provides instructions on the formation of a new state and guarantees state protection from the federal government in case of an invasion.
