There is a wide range of events that have recently become one of the most probable to occur. This events range from weather related events, terror related events and even transport related disasters. Despite the fact that majority of this events are not easily predictable and the probability of occurring is relatively low. What are the measures put in place in the event that “Murphy’s law of probability” comes into play and the events do occur? Are the various social providers ready to react with proper contingencies to ensure that there is maximum preservation of life? To properly comprehend this element of disaster management, the various stakeholders have to be consulted on the top disasters for which they prepare for and imminently the impact gained for the healthcare practitioners in regards to this information availed.

Top 3 Disasters In this day and age, information is attributed to being a necessity in the daily sustenance of a human being. Wildfires have also been quite recurrent along with floods therefore the various emergency agencies have invested heavily in preparing to mitigate the effects of these disasters with an aim of saving as many lives as possible (Allen, 2014). The aspect of terrorism is also a major disaster that has resulted in not only loss of lives and destruction of property but also international ethical hatred amongst people of from particular ethnicities and background. Furthermore the huge aspect of uncertainty has placed terrorism among the top 3 disasters that all emergency agencies prepare to mitigate and even try to prevent. As with the growth of technology and innovation in biotechnology, the prevalence of occurrence of biochemical terrorism is also considered in preparing against terrorism.

Therefore, the different emergency agencies regularly put in place measures and checks to ensure that they are adequately prepared. However, there are three factors that have been echoed across the board by the different stakeholders. Communication between the different agencies is considered to be one of the main elements and can be touted as an important learning point. Sharing of information between the different emergency departments such as the police, health and fire department is essential. Combining this wide network of information with information garnered from the Weather Department, Homeland Security, World Health Organization and other agencies facilitates sharing of information therefore neither of the departments can be blindsided in their respective fields if any disaster was to occur. Secondly, there is a rising appreciation of modern day technology in the process of preparing against disasters.
