Peer victimization Essay
Rumor spreading, calling of names, funny gestures to intimidate among others are examples of peer victimization (Sanders and Phye 89). Victims of peer victimization often face rejection from their peers ending up with depression and loneliness. Absenteeism, visits to the doctor and somatic complaints are among the physical levels caused by peer victimization. The problem has caused serious problems to students hence it is a health concern. Being a victim of peer harassment causes psychological and academic problems to students, and it’s of great essence to consider victimization stability among the victims. Intersectionality is a complex discussion, and its disparities have remained widespread especially in schooling. Intersectionality, on the other hand, is important in making of policies and developing practices effective to the community (Zins and Elias 34).
