The brochure you create should apply the following elements from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2: Psychological Health Consultants Company Profile (40 points) • Mission Statement - list the four goals of psychology and how you might apply each goal in your practice (brief sentences for each) • Types of psychological services offered – (choose 2 subfields of psychology and briefly explain what areas of psychology they focus in) o List the types of individual and institutional clients served (use chart found in book) o List the psychological approaches/perspectives used to help clients (choose 3 perspectives and explain why those approaches explain behavior in your own words) • Briefly explain the benefits of using research-based interventions. (Discuss the benefits to using research in psychology) o Describe the methods of research used by Psychological Health Consultants (briefly explain the three types of research methods) o Provide client with the Psychological Health Consultants Ethics Policy (summarize each ethical guideline in your own words) o Describe your professional background and areas of specialty using credentials typically associated with psychologists and psychiatrists (Make up an educational background as if you were a psychologist, licensed social worker, or psychiatrist. List where you obtained your education degree.) Information from Chapters 1 and 2 can be applied creatively. Students can use Microsoft Publisher to create brochures that can be viewed by classmates. Content and creativity are encouraged for this assignment.
