With communication, conveying of information never has been better, movement of people and goods has been made easier, there is power that enables the running of machines and health issues are finding solutions due to the creation of equipments that help monitor and control the issue. This is enough evidence that technology has benefited the human race in impeccable ways. Looking at health related issues, technology has been of beneficial to the provision of facilities and services that are up to date and convenient to people. With the seniors in the society in need of nursing care, technology has stepped up in ensuring that they receive care without much effort. There power driven wheelchairs that are used by the elderly to make movements out and about since they have grown tired to use their legs.

It can also help one in feeding and doing daily chores. Falls being the most common deaths to old people can be minimized since a robot can detect the fall and beep someone for assistance. Assistive devices are, in the long run on the verge of replacing human assistance (Eliot 1992). Technology is used in the provision of care for the elderly to ensure that the services offered are safe, efficient and of quality. Telehealth is an initiative that aims at providing this kind of care for this bracket of people. The users need to be evaluated for proper handling and use of the devices. Confusion and reasoning impairments may prevent one from grasping the most out of the technology. For instance, memory impaired persons may forget where they put the device or not remember its use and purpose.
