Some kids have big ears big feet some have black hair red hair braces and glasses and feed on different things. Each child talks about the things they like about themselves. At the end of the book there is a mirror in which the kids look and say what they like about themselves. Activity. The teacher should read the book aloud to the children telling them about different activities in the book. AGE: 4-8 Category: Juvenile fiction (animals) Summary Pete the cat goes down the street wearing his brand new white shoes. Along the way his shoes change from white to red to blue to brown to wet as he steps in piles of strawberries blueberries and other piles of big messes. Pete moves on and sings his song no matter the color of his shoes because it all feels right. The book is full of questions on foods and objects for kids to answer.
