These myths are into explaining some basic principles and beliefs in psychology. These theories are some of the basis that has been applied in teaching and analyzing the general concept of psychology with ease, However, as much as some of these theories advocated hold weight in the field of psychology, some of them have also received several criticisms in their wake of being applied and used in psychology. Most people use only 10% of their brain power This is one of the myths that has continued to be adversely discussed in the modern world. Many scientists have continued to negatively discuss the viability and the truth behind this myth that has continued to hold water in the modern world. Scientists who have been into the study of the human brain have also voiced their stand on this contagious myth that is still a center of controversy in the society.

It is one of the most debated issues on whether there is some truthfulness in the myth or it is just nothing. Many scientists have aired diverse opinions on whether there is a magnitude of facts in the myth or not. Some scientists are ardent believers of this myth while there are others who are holding the contrary opinion. However, none of the two has voiced what can be termed as the truth by providing enough and substantive evidence on this issue. Brain scientists and psychologists in particular are will working to recreate and reach a viable agreement on this issue. Scientific researches have not confirmed anything that suggests that the intelligence quotient differs with either one sis using the left side of the brain or the right side.

People are still debating this issue and no more proof has been provided to confirm this issue. Generally, the truth is that indeed there is no substantive evidence that the brain position affects one’s level of intelligence. All this information remains unverified and unconfirmed. Personally, I used to believe in the viability of this theory until I took this course and things changed. For instance, many young people tend to change their behaviours mostly when they are in their early adolescents. My friends whom we grew up have affirmed this idea as they share their own experiences during their adolescence. Many Indian parents have reported various cases through their children who were previously good and easy going changing their behaviours when they reach puberty.
