Precisely, personality disorder makes people to think in a different way from other people. Many factors influence the personality of an individual. Some of the parameters that lead to changes in the personal behavior include experiences, the surrounding environment, as well as inherited characteristics. It is important to note that a personality disorder is the different way of thinking on a particular notion or concept. The behaviors may be in contrary to cultural expectations making an individual to suffer from stress and other disorder. It can occur in a certain stage of development but an individual can change his or her perception after sometime. Symptoms of Avoidant personality disorder A person suffering from avoidant personality disorder is always easy to heart by simple criticism and disapproval.

They always that people are against them and can be disturbed by criticism. In addition, the victims have no close friends. They fear making friendship with other people because they believe that the friends will look down upon them. The victims develop shyness, isolation and avoidance of strangers as well as new environmental factors. Most of the m also remains timid as they enter adulthood stage. Treatments There is no specific scientific treatment strategy for the avoidant personality disorder. However, the victims can be given antidepressant medications that are likely to reduce sensitivity to rejection. In addition, certain cognitive behaviors can also help in salvaging the problem. This disorder originates from adulthood and it is common in the modern societies. For instance, the most prominent leaders always need to be protected and made comfortable.

They normally appear lazy and demonstrate clinging behaviors. Such people also believe that they cannot function appropriately without the help of other people. Dependent personality disorder affects the ability of the people to make decisions because they do not believe in themselves. They are not sure on how to spend their free time as well as the learning institutions they should attend. It is important to note that as an individual become mature, they should be responsible and assume duties to improve their standards of living. For instance, there are certain decisions that an adult should not seek advice from parents or friends. People suffering from the dependent personality disorder are always lonely and stressed when they are not next to individuals.

They believe that they cannot make decisions that can help him or her. They cannot use their ideas to solve problems and they are always preoccupied with ideas. They cannot use their ideas because they believe that other people will criticize them. Treatments Apparently, the cause of this disorder is not known hence a perfect treatment method has not been is established. However, this disorder is common in early adulthood stage and associated with people suffering from chronic physical illness. In most of the cases, psychotherapy is the common method of treatment used to help people with this disorder. Despite the fact that they do not express their anger directly, they suffer in silence. They are always result oriented people and can fail to understand the sources of failures (Tandler 577).

For example, an individual may not be comfortable with the services offered in the hotel and cannot report to the management. In this case, they can only find a solution by leaving the restaurant. Apparently, most of people suffering this disorder can express their anger by achieving success. They are not always flexible because they belief in certain ways of doing things. They also have definite rules, principles and schedules that must use to achieve success in the environment. Sometimes, they may hold perfection notions that may hinder the completion of a particular task. They are not attracted to leisure activities and they are always over-conscientious, scrupulous and inflexible. They also do not discard worn-out or worthless objects because they believe that the objects can continue giving services.
