Pina is an 84th Academy Awards winning film. It was released in 2011 and the 3D documentary movie focused on presenting some of the finest works of Pina Bausch. Wim Wenders directed the film with an objective of paying tribute to the incomparable choreographer who left behind a new definition of dance “Dance and dance otherwise we are lost” . Pina Bausch died unexpectedly during the production of the film in 2009 due to which Wenders decided to cancel the film production but other dancers assured him to complete the film. The film present abstracts from some of the most popular dance pieces of Pina Bausch. The Pina Bausch really deserves such tribute. An individual will surely like the film if they like modern dance and classical theater. The trailer for the film pretty much gives an overview of the interesting scenes. In short a well- executed film showing different forms of dancing in a unique way. In some ballet movements the dancers stretched their body like a rubber band with no bones and that shows the flexibility of a dancer’s body.
