We have been looking on the use of force on various sectors. As well we have been looking at the different types of force and causes of use of force by the police. There has been excessive use of force by the police. Politics have been involved in policing something that has created many problems. Through this paper, I am going to give an outline of how the knowledge I have acquired on policing and community engagement will help in future. Police should be left to work without interference from the politics. Politics undermines the work of the police by pressurizing the police to act contrary to the laid down procedures but in their favor (Pennington and Lynch, 2015). This has made the police department appear as part of the politicians.

It has made the public perceive the police departments as another group of politicians who are there to oppress them and not to serve them. Police interrogation The police investigation department is another area of concern that needs to be addressed. Recommendations Having learned about policing and community engagement in the police departments, I would recommend the following: there is an urgent need to divorce politics from policing. This will make the police departments free and work in favor of the truth and justice. This will reduce hatred and animosity between police and the public since citizens will view police as an independent body that is there to guard and serve them. Another thing that I would recommend is that the government should invest in educating the investigators on how to carry out their tasks.
