In the year 2017, Amcor had a total revenue of $11,974,993,00. This figure was inclusive of sales and other revenue. The total number of employees employed in Australia was 35,211. The Chief Executive officer whose title has been officiated to Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Ron Delia (Amcor Ltd-Retail). They lead globally when it comes to packaging. The History of Amcor however can be traced from over 150 years ago in Melbourne. The history of Amcor was started by a young man from Yorkshire. The name of the man is Samuel Ramsden and he was a mason. This man came to Australia in 1860 together win the company of the bride to look for greener pastures in the new land. For this reason, the name of the company did not fit and it was decided that it should be changed.

The name of the company was changed to Amcor Limited on 1st May 1986. The name is now known worldwide because of the popularity of the company in packaging innovation. Today, Amcor uses their expertise and knowledge about the needs of customers. They have continually produced packaging that is cost effective to consumers, appealing and which is sustainable to the environment. iii) Operational leadership They build quality, service and cost advantages through manufacturing and procurement. iv) Innovation They produce products that are differentiated. In addition, their processes across their business and services are differentiated. v) Cash and capital discipline They generate a strong cash flow and deploy it to increase the value for all the stake holder of the company. c) Values Safety They take care of each other so that every member of the company goes home safely each day.

They also are responsible for keeping the environment in which they operate in clean and safe from pollutants. The following policies are what guides them. • Anti-bribery and corruption policy Amcor is very much against corruption and taking of bribes. The bribes and corruption can occur in three ways namely; facilitation payment, gifts and hospitality and dealing with third parties and intermediaries. The policy gives detailed information about how Amcor handles corruption and bribery under those areas. It also gives details about the issues that are left to be handled by the Board and those that they delegate to senior executives. • Disclosure policy This gives all the information that is needed for the disclosure of a matter including the legal position and materiality guidelines.

• Environment policy This gives the guidelines that should be followed for ensuring the safety of the environment. • Executive committee charter Gives details about the composition and responsibilities of the executive committee. • Fraud policy Gives the guidelines for preventing fraud for all the members including the subsidiary companies. • Senior executive reward and evaluation policy Gives the guidelines about the remunerations and compensation of the executive employees. • Share trading policy • Shareholder communications policy This aims to ensure that there is effective communication among the shareholders. • Slavery and human trafficking statement Gives the steps taken by Amcor to prevent slavery and human trafficking. Products offered at Amcor Amcor Packaging Company has two main lines of packaging products. The two are rigid plastics and flexible.

a) Flexible packaging for personal and homecare products Amcor Ltd is known to be worldwide supplier of film laminates and printed foil. The two are used for retail packaging for products that are used at home and for personal use. Examples of these products include single or multi-pack wipes, stand-up pouches, peel open pouches, unit-dose sachets retail distribution. Their printing quality is highest with up to ten colors. b) Pharmaceutical packaging An example of these products include stick packs, blister packs, strip packs and barrier laminations for pharmaceuticals. f) Food packaging Amcor Ltd produces food packaging that is flexible to a large number of food supplier worldwide. The packaging is innovative and made for fresh foods like bread, fish and processed foods like snacks and coffee.

g) Flexible films for industrial applications Products like caps laminate, packaging for technical consumer goods like petrol stations, laminates used in industries and high barrier coatings. Such allegations could portray a bad picture about them and lead to negative publicity. Apart from the issue of pollution, alleged practices of cartels may destroy the image of Amcor. Opportunities There is a growing demand for the products of Amcor in Africa where it has not invested so much (Zigu). Most African countries are growing which makes it a good chance to invest there. The company has the opportunity for the acquisition of smaller companies which will make it possible to penetrate in markets that they have bot. The profitability of the company for that matter reduces.
