The firm is known for her sale of organic products with her most fierce competitor being Bellamy Inc. In the 21st century, customers are looking forward to changing their eating habits as they focus more on the green products to ensure that they stay healthy. The company has a variety of products which total up to 250. However, it is important to focus on the manufacture on the infant formula which the company has developed well in the recent years and has attracted huge sales especially in Asia and New Zealand (Richardson and William, 2009).

The fact that so many mothers are giving birth each year means that they need a company that will develop green products that will suit their children health without compromising their health. One of the major competitors of Blackmore Company is Bellamy Inc. au, 2018). To ensure that the infant products are free of any malice or quality, the company needs to ensure that the internal processes are of high quality by ensuring that every stage of manufacturing operates well (Gray, 2018). The second aspect that needs to be considered is cost reduction in the firm. The company should have a tendency of making sure that the cost of production is reduced so that the customers can be able to enjoy better prices in the market as a result of the same.

Focusing attention on the inefficiencies in the firm and eliminating things that are slowing down the processes might be the solution to solving the question of cost reduction (Richardson and William, 2009). Blackmore Company has a program that ensures that the packaging of the products for example for the infant formula products does not lead to polluting the environment. Regulatory compliance is another aspect that needs to be taken into consideration. Ensuring that the firm’s management ensures that the production processes and products certify regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other standard measuring agencies is important (Qms. com. au, 2017). The use of decomposable materials in the packing ensures that there is no pollution of the environment. The firm also does cut costs in her operations through ensuring that most of the activities that could be done through technology happen without involving too many workers (Gray, 2018).

This helps to reduce the costs and as a result does lead to considerable pricing of their products both in the local and overseas markets. The company also produces infant formula products that are commensurate with the consumer demands. This ensures that there is no wastage of excess products. The firm also conduct audit of the fisheries catching the krill and record the exact locations of the batch of krill. This is to establish the quality of the products in every single bottle (Agric. wa. gov. au, 2018). It is important to note that the type of the manufacturing process does depend on the type of the formula being made (Ghosh, 2014). Better process strategies ensure that the company cuts on the costs and at the same time increase the quality of the production in the company (Richardson and William, 2009).

In the production of the infant formula for the milk in Blackmore Company, the firm has to ensure that it regulates the portions of fats, proteins, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, and other ingredients that are important to the health of the infants. The company does get through a couple of process strategies to ensure that the final formula is of the desired quality. The first process strategy that can be used is mass customization focus (Blackmore, 2016). It is important to note that the process is mostly used in the fast food businesses and this can be effective if the company is making huge sales (Blackmore, 2016). The fourth process that can be utilized by the firm is process focus which insists on the supervision of the process during the production of the goods.

Here, there is a high degree of product flexibility and involvement of skilled personnel to ensure that the operations in the company do not go wrong. There are also different layout strategies that could be employed in the production of the infant milk formula in Blackmore Company. The first layout strategy that could be utilized by the company is retail layout which insists on the allocation of the shelf space and insists on monitoring the customers’ behavior (Richardson and William, 2009). Improvement in the already existing strategies could be a good way of attracting more customers to their firm and also ensuring that there is a social and environmental responsibility in everything that the firm does (Blackmore, 2016). To improve on the quality of infant formula in Blackmore, the company needs to ensure that it funding to the customer service department so that their concerns can be met.

Addressing customer issues about the product would ensure that the firm gains the loyalty from her current customers and gains ore customers from referrals. The firm management also needs to ensure that it articulates the products to be green given that most customers are proffering organic products because of their health benefits than inorganic (Blackmore, 2018). Concerning the house of quality, it is important for the firm to ensure that it develops different/variety of infant milk and packages them differently according to the tastes and preferences of the customers from different cultures (Black et al, 2005). The company can us her huge customer base in both Australia and overseas to increase her sales and efficiency in the operations of the company. The firm can also improve her operations through improved training of the staff to be more sensitive of the customers’ demands and concerns (Gray, 2018).

Adjusting the processing and layout strategies in the production of the infant formula products in the firm would also be an important step to ensure that the firm does make improvements in reduction of costs and increase customer satisfaction. Therefore, adhering to the aforementioned strategies will be important for Blackmore Company to compete well in the market and at the same time improve her sales in the future.
