During the revolution, of Tuileries in 1972 many Swiss guards died while trying to prevent the charged crowd from getting into the palace. This massacre soiled and caused dismay in Switzerland. After the murder of Marat a crowd gathered around the square and the Swiss guards opened fire on the people and the fight started. The king’s palace was burned and the women in the house were used as messengers. Bodies of Swiss guards were masqueraded in the streets while other French guards carried parts of the dead Swiss guards making them to be reluctant to revolutionary principles. There was also a strong reaction that was leveled against Christianity. The Roman Catholics church images were destroyed and for some time the Supreme Being was substituted with Roman Catholicism.

The Irish attempt to embrace the French revolution and it results. Since the French revolution had an out light effect on Ireland, their similarity meant that it had some pertinence to Ireland as a country since it gave them a perfect example of how a nation could overthrow a tyrannical regime. As a result of the availability of restrictions from penal code in 1780’s, Irish Catholics had to embrace the French principles as did the Presbyterians of the Ireland community. This led to a public debate in Ireland since the French experience had brought in an example of how to bring up a political era based on the ‘rights of man’. Situations brought about by the French revolutions also created a chance for alliance between the catholic and the protestants.
